Das Unternehmen hat seinen Hauptsitz in Santa Clara, Kalifornien. Intel Corp. ist vor allem für PC-Mikroprozessoren bekannt, bei denen der Konzern weltweit einen Marktanteil von rund 80 Prozent hält. Das Unternehmen produziert zudem viele Arten von Mikrochips für Computer, u.a. Chipsätze für Mainboards.
