The company consists of two business segments: The first business segment, Industrial Business, has two business units, Sourcing & Cocoa and Food Manufacturers: It includes the asset- and capital-intensive activities of the Group that are needed to procure all raw materials, to process cocoa and to produce semi-finished and chocolate products that are sold to industrial food processors and consumer goods manufacturers, along with ready-to-use products and services.

Geplant sind eine stärkere Ausrichtung auf wachstumsstarke Bereiche wie Gourmet- und Spezialitätenprodukte, die Fokussierung auf zehn Schlüsselmärkte, ein verbesserter Kundenservice sowie Investitionen in nordamerikanische Standorte. Mittelfristig strebt der weltgrößte Schokoladenhersteller ein Absatzwachstum von zwei bis vier Prozent sowie ein Wachstum des operativen Ergebnisses im mittleren bis hohen einstelligen Prozentbereich an. Für das laufende Geschäftsjahr 2025/26 bleibt der Ausblick jedoch verhalten: Barry Callebaut erwartet weiterhin einen Absatzrückgang von ein bis drei Prozent und einen deutlichen Rückgang des operativen Ergebnisses.
